Field of application
XFOX brackets are primarily intended for the support of horizontally running profiles and can also be used in the vertical plane for the support of heavy cladding elements, e.g. natural stone, bricks, etc. Due to the special geometry of these brackets, high load-bearing capabilities capabilities can be achieved using relatively small support elements.
Technical properties
XFOX brackets are made of aluminium EN AW-6063 T6, former designation AlMgSi 0,5 F25, and comply with BS EN 755 as well as the common regulations for hung ventilated facades in Europe. XFOX brackets come in standard dimensions of 70 180mm.
XFOX brackets are available in different lengths, medium and large.
XFOX medium and large brackets assembled can be of both Fixed point and Flexible point positions, reducing the risk of installation errors.
Using XFOX brackets in combination with EUROFOX isolators, significantly reduces the effect of thermal bridging.
XFOX functions reduce installation time
The elongated holes used to fix the XFOX bracket to the exterior wall and the round and elongated holes used to fix profiles to the brackets are prefabricated. Particularly helpful for the installation of the profiles is the integrated, continuous clipping tongue of every XFOX bracket, this allows 40mm profile alignment adjustment on each XFOX bracket.

1. Clipped connection
For initial line and level adjustment the profiles are clipped into the XFOX-brackets. |
|
2. Final fixing
After adjustment the profiles are fixed to the XFOX-brackets with rivets or screws.
Round holes and elongated holes in the XFOX-brackets allow the creation of both, fixed points and flexible points. |

Structural system horizontal fixing
1. Horizontal section
To enable thermal movements, the horizontal L-profiles are fixed by one X-FOX fixed point and a number of X-FOX flexible points.

2. Vertical section
Vertical profiles
Each vertical profile is rigid jointed to one horizontal fixpoint L-profile and flexible jointed to a number of flexible point L-profiles. The length of vertical profiles should not exceed the storey height.
Fixed point L-profiles
Due to the rigid connection, fixed point L-profiles are able to absorb both, vertical weight loads and horizontal wind loads of the facade.
Flexible point L-profiles
Flexible point L-profiles take wind loads only. |
